Kingston, Iowa | I have a new Ipad to use with Field View. While I knew Verizon coverage was less than stellar in this area, I didn't think it would be this bad. I spent an hour on the phone with a rep from Verizon trying to activate the account in the first place and he finally gave up and told me the modem in the ipad was bad and to replace it. I was still using it for Field View, sans the background map, so I figured it would have to wait until after planting. Yesterday, out of the blue, my background map appears and I have internet. It's pretty flaky. I can be sitting in the same spot and one minute have 3g and the next not, all the while showing 3 plus bars of reception.
Does this sound like a modem about to give up? Can the Gumdrop sleeve cause interference? If I do get a replacement, can all of the stuff that I have on this thing be transfered? | |
